Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 blend
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup pickles sliced
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • Cooking oil for frying

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a little cooking oil to coat the bottom.
  3. Divide the beef mixture into 8 equal portions (about 2 ounces each). Roll each portion into a ball and place them in the hot skillet.
  4. Using a spatula, smash each ball down to form a thin patty. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the edges are crispy and browned.
  5. Flip the patties and cook for another 2-3 minutes until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let rest.
  6. In the same skillet, warm the flour tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until soft and pliable.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing a patty on each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and pickles.
  8. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard. Drizzle over the assembled tacos.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
