  • 2 tablespoons Jalapeños diced
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise optional
  • 1 stalk Celery optional, diced
For the Bread
  • 2 slices Bread of Choice such as sourdough or whole wheat
Additional Toppings
  • 1 cup More Cheddar Cheese for topping
  • optional Sliced Jalapeños for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine one can of drained tuna, diced jalapeños, sharp cheddar cheese, and mayonnaise until creamy.
  2. If desired, transfer any leftover filling into an airtight container and refrigerate.
  3. Take slices of your chosen bread and spread a generous amount of the tuna filling on each slice. Layer on additional cheddar and sliced jalapeños.
  4. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and bake the sandwiches on a lined baking sheet for 7-9 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. For a crispy top, switch to broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye.
  6. Remove from the oven, cool slightly, and serve warm with fresh veggies or chips.
