- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In your greased baking dish, mix uncooked long-grain white rice, French onion soup, and beef broth. Optionally, add finely chopped yellow onion.
- Slice unsalted butter into small pats and distribute them across the top of the rice mixture.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake uncovered for another 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the dish sit for a few minutes, then fluff the rice with a fork and garnish as desired.
