Krumkake Cooking Steps
- Preheat your krumkake or pizzelle iron on medium heat for approximately 5 minutes.
- Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Incorporate egg, vanilla extract, and ground cardamom into the mixture and blend for about 1 minute.
- Pour in the milk and stir gently until the mixture is smooth.
- Sift in all-purpose flour and fold gently until the batter is smooth and lump-free.
- Scoop about 1 ½ tablespoons of batter onto the center of the iron and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove Krumkake from the iron and wrap it around a cone mold until it cools.
- Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form, about 3-4 minutes.
- Fill the cooled Krumkake with whipped cream and top with berries.
- Store any unfilled Krumkake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
