Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add butter and mix until crumbly.
- Gradually add ice water, mixing until the dough forms. Chill while preparing filling.
- In another bowl, toss sliced apples with brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch.
Assembly
- Roll out dough on a floured surface to form a 12-inch circle. Transfer to a baking sheet.
- Arrange apple mixture in the center, leaving about 2 inches of dough around edges.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the apples, pleating as needed. Brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until crust is golden and apples are tender.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
