Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  2. In a separate large mixing bowl, cream together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until no dry spots are left, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Divide the dough in half. Mix freeze-dried blueberry powder and blueberry jam into one half, adding food coloring as desired.
  6. Form small cylinders for leaves from the other half of the dough, then shape the blue dough into football shapes for the Oddish bodies.
  7. Cover the bowls with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dough for 20-30 minutes.
  8. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Shape cookies and attach leaves before placing them on lined baking trays.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes until edges are firm and tops lightly golden.
  10. Cool on the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  11. Decorate cookies with melted chocolate for facial features and let set before serving.
