Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro optional
  • Lime wedges for serving

Method

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spices are fragrant and the chicken is cooked through. Remove from heat.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Lightly spray a muffin tin with cooking spray. Gently press a wonton wrapper into each cup of the muffin tin to form a taco shell shape.
  5. Bake the wonton wrappers in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Once the wonton shells are ready, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  7. Fill each wonton shell with a spoonful of the seasoned chicken, then top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, and a dollop of sour cream.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired and serve with lime wedges on the side.
