Step-by-Step Instructions
- Wash your fresh figs under cool water, then chop into smaller pieces. If using dried figs, soak them in warm water for about 10 minutes.
- Combine the chopped figs, 2 cups of filtered water, and 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract in a medium saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer for 3-5 minutes.
- Let the fig and vanilla mixture simmer for approximately 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into another bowl or pitcher, pressing figs to extract as much liquid as possible.
- Return the strained liquid to the saucepan and add 1 cup of your choice of milk. Gently heat over low-medium heat, stirring constantly until warm.
- Taste your Fig Vanilla Milk Tea and add sweetener if desired, stirring until dissolved.
- Pour into your favorite cup and garnish with a slice of fresh fig or a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Notes
Use fresh figs for the best flavor; gently heat the milk to avoid scalding and adjust sweetness to taste.
