Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F) and prepare your baking pan by greasing it lightly.
  2. Combine all-purpose flour, brown sugar, and cold unsalted butter in a bowl and mix until crumbly. Press into the greased baking pan.
  3. Soak dried figs in warm water for about 5 minutes, then blend with lemon juice until smooth. Spread over the crust.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth. Spread over the fig layer.
  5. Bake for approximately 30 minutes until lightly golden and slightly jiggly in the center.
  6. Let the bars cool completely at room temperature, then chill overnight before slicing into squares.
