- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggnog and cornstarch until smooth and well combined.
- In a saucepan, combine the eggnog mixture, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook over medium heat while stirring frequently until thickened.

- Add vanilla extract and dark rum, stirring to blend well.
