  • 2 pieces Caramelized shallots Substitute with onions if needed.
For the Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano Italian seasoning can also work.

  • 1 cup Fontina cheese Substitutes include mozzarella or provolone.
  • 1/2 cup Whole-milk ricotta cheese Can swap with cream cheese or mascarpone.
For the Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Fresh sage leaves Thyme or rosemary can be substituted.
  • 2 tablespoons Extra-virgin olive oil Neutral oil can be used as an alternative.
  • 2 tablespoons Hot honey Regular honey or chili oil work as alternatives.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure a crispy crust for the pizzas.
  2. In a skillet, drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat, then add thinly sliced shallots. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until softened and caramelized.
  3. Add ground sausage to the skillet with the caramelized shallots and cook for 6-7 minutes until browned.
  4. Lay naan breads on a baking sheet and spread pumpkin purée over each, sprinkling dried oregano on top.
  5. Layer Fontina cheese, browned sausage, and sautéed shallots onto the naan.
  6. Drizzle fresh sage with olive oil and scatter on top of the pizzas.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven until cheese is bubbly and edges of naan are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and drizzle hot honey over each pizza before slicing and serving.
