Method
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out one sheet of puff pastry to smooth out creases. Cut the pastry into 1-inch strips.
- Take a strip of pastry, twist it several times, and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining strips.
- Brush each twisted pastry with the egg wash made from the beaten egg and milk. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture generously over each twist.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
