  • 2 sheets of refrigerated puff pastry thawed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg beaten, for egg wash
  • 1 tablespoon milk for egg wash

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out one sheet of puff pastry to smooth out creases. Cut the pastry into 1-inch strips.
  4. Take a strip of pastry, twist it several times, and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining strips.
  5. Brush each twisted pastry with the egg wash made from the beaten egg and milk. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture generously over each twist.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
