  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce Use high-quality for best flavor.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh garlic can be used instead.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Smoked Paprika Regular paprika can also be used.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper Freshly ground.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Prevents sticking.
Caramelized Onion Aioli
  • 2 medium Yellow Onions Thinly sliced.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter For caramelization.
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar Light brown is recommended.
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup Sour Cream Full-fat preferred.
  • 1 clove Garlic Freshly minced.
  • 0.5 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice Adjust to taste.
Salad Base
  • 4 cups Mixed Greens/Romaine Lettuce Chopped.
  • 1-2 medium Tomatoes Diced.
  • 0.5 medium Cucumber Sliced, preferably English.
  • 0.25 medium Red Onion Thinly sliced.
  • 0.5 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Sharp cheddar preferred.
  • to taste Dill Pickle Slices Use high-quality pickles.
  • to taste Fresh Chives For garnish.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter. Add sliced onions and brown sugar, stirring well. Cook slowly for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Combine ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until just combined.
  3. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, caramelized onions, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Wash and prepare salad base. Chop greens, dice tomatoes, slice cucumber, and thinly slice red onion.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef mixture, breaking it apart. Cook for 8-10 minutes until browned.
  6. Assemble bowls with greens, cooked beef, diced tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, aioli, cheddar, and garnish with chives.
