Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound)
  • 2 tablespoons blackening seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slider buns
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato sliced
  • Pickles for topping optional

Method

  1. Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil and coat them evenly with the blackening seasoning.
  3. Grill or cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
  4. While the chicken is resting, prepare the Alabama white sauce by combining mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
  5. Slice the cooked chicken into strips.
  6. Toast the slider buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the sliders by placing a few strips of chicken on the bottom half of each bun, adding a generous dollop of Alabama white sauce, followed by shredded lettuce, a slice of tomato, and pickles if desired.
  8. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
