- Prepare a 9x9-inch baking pan. Lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray and line with parchment paper.
- In a large pot, melt 1 stick of unsalted butter over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Add 8 cups of mini marshmallows to the pot and stir until completely melted. Mix in a pinch of fine sea salt and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- In a large mixing bowl, pour in 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal and fold in the melted marshmallow mixture until evenly coated.
- Transfer half of the Rice Krispies mixture into the prepared pan and press down firmly to create an even base.
- Spread a layer of dulce de leche over the pressed Rice Krispies base.
- Top the dulce de leche with the remaining Rice Krispies mixture and gently press down.
- Allow to cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes until fully set.
- Use the parchment overhang to lift the treats out of the pan and slice into squares. Drizzle additional dulce de leche on top if desired.
