Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare a 9x9-inch baking pan. Lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray and line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large pot, melt 1 stick of unsalted butter over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Add 8 cups of mini marshmallows to the pot and stir until completely melted. Mix in a pinch of fine sea salt and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, pour in 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal and fold in the melted marshmallow mixture until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer half of the Rice Krispies mixture into the prepared pan and press down firmly to create an even base.
  6. Spread a layer of dulce de leche over the pressed Rice Krispies base.
  7. Top the dulce de leche with the remaining Rice Krispies mixture and gently press down.
  8. Allow to cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes until fully set.
  9. Use the parchment overhang to lift the treats out of the pan and slice into squares. Drizzle additional dulce de leche on top if desired.
