Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to its highest setting, ideally around 250°C (428°F).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the water, olive oil, flour, and salt until a rough dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Slice the onions thinly and steam them in a small bowl with water in the microwave for about 1 minute.
  4. Mix creme fraiche and sour cream in another bowl, season with salt and pepper.
  5. Transfer the rolled dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread the cream mixture over it.
  6. Spread the steamed onions and bacon (or preferred vegetarian alternative) evenly on top.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the dough is crispy.
  8. Let it cool for a minute, optional to sprinkle chopped chives before serving.
