- 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, measure out the Rice Chex cereal and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat.
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the Rice Chex cereal. Gently fold the cereal until evenly coated.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crushed freeze-dried strawberries and salt.
- Add the powdered sugar to the strawberry mixture and stir until well combined.
- Transfer the coated cereal to a large resealable plastic bag. Add the strawberry powdered sugar mixture and shake until the cereal is well coated.
- Spread the puppy chow onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool and set for about 30 minutes.
- Once cooled, serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to a week.
Notes
- For a chocolate twist, substitute half of the white chocolate chips with milk chocolate chips.
- Add a sprinkle of crushed graham crackers on top for extra texture and flavor.
