Description

A refreshing and spicy twist on the classic margarita, featuring ripe mangoes and hot honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4 limes)
  • 1/4 cup hot honey (or regular honey with a pinch of cayenne)
  • 1 cup tequila
  • 1/2 cup orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wedges and chili powder for rimming glasses (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the diced mangoes, fresh lime juice, hot honey, tequila, orange liqueur, and salt. Blend until smooth and well combined.
  2. If desired, rim the glasses with lime wedges and dip them in chili powder for an extra kick.
  3. Fill each glass with ice cubes and pour the mango mixture over the ice.
  4. Garnish with lime wedges and, if desired, additional diced mango or a drizzle of hot honey on top.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing spicy mango margarita!

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace the tequila and orange liqueur with sparkling water or soda for a refreshing mocktail.
  • Experiment with different fruits like pineapple or peach for a unique twist on the classic margarita flavor.
