Description
Savory Marsala Meatloaf is a flavorful dinner delight made with a blend of ground beef and pork, seasoned with herbs and topped with a delicious Marsala wine sauce.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 cup Marsala wine
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, milk, parsley, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix until well combined but do not overmix.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- In a small bowl, mix together the Marsala wine, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour half of this sauce over the meatloaf, reserving the other half for later.
- Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 1 hour. After 30 minutes, brush the remaining sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
- Continue baking until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
Notes
- For a healthier twist, substitute half of the ground beef with ground turkey.
- To add extra flavor, mix in 1/2 cup of finely chopped mushrooms into the meat mixture.
