Description

A simple and delicious recipe for Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus, perfect as an appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 8 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Take one asparagus spear and wrap it with a slice of prosciutto, starting at the bottom and spiraling up to the tip. Place the wrapped asparagus on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining asparagus.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil mixture over the wrapped asparagus, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the prosciutto is crispy and the asparagus is tender.
  6. If desired, drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.

Notes

  • For a touch of spice, add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes before baking.
  • You can also substitute the prosciutto with bacon for a different flavor profile.
  • Enjoy with a squeeze of lemon juice for added freshness!
