Description

A refreshing and easy-to-make peach sorbet that is perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe peaches, pitted and chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. In a blender or food processor, add the chopped peaches, cooled sugar syrup, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer. Freeze for about 2 hours, or until the edges start to harden.
  4. Remove the dish from the freezer and use a fork to scrape and stir the mixture, breaking up any ice crystals. Return to the freezer for another 2 hours.
  5. Before serving, let the sorbet sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes to soften slightly. Scoop into bowls and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, blend in 1 cup of coconut milk or yogurt before freezing.
  • Experiment with other fruits like mango or berries for different flavors.
