Mississippi Chicken is a flavorful and easy-to-make dish featuring tender chicken thighs cooked with ranch seasoning, au jus gravy, and pepperoncini peppers.

- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 5–6 pepperoncini peppers (whole)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the chicken thighs in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix evenly over the chicken.
- Sprinkle the au jus gravy mix over the ranch seasoning.
- Cut the butter into slices and place them evenly on top of the chicken.
- Pour the chicken broth around the chicken in the baking dish.
- Scatter the pepperoncini peppers on top of the chicken.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Serve the chicken with the pan juices over rice, mashed potatoes, or on its own.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add sliced jalapeños along with the pepperoncini.
- Substitute chicken thighs with chicken breasts for a leaner option, adjusting the cooking time as needed.
