Description
Firecracker Salmon is a quick and flavorful dish that combines the sweetness of honey with the heat of sriracha, making it a perfect meal for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sriracha, rice vinegar, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper until well combined.
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, increase the amount of sriracha or add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Serve the salmon over a bed of steamed rice or quinoa, and add a side of sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.
