Description

A simple and delicious recipe for crispy sweet potatoes made in an air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large sweet potatoes (about 1.5 pounds), peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sweet potato cubes, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Toss until the sweet potatoes are evenly coated.
  3. Place the sweet potato cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  4. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking, until the sweet potatoes are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  5. Once done, remove from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, sprinkle some fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme before serving.
  • Try adding a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup to the sweet potatoes before air frying for a sweet and savory twist.
