Description
Crab Bombs are delicious bite-sized seafood treats made with lump crab meat and a creamy cheese mixture, baked to golden perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound lump crab meat
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or olive oil.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, shredded cheddar cheese, green onions, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Gently fold in the lump crab meat, being careful not to break up the crab too much.
- Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
- Roll each ball in panko breadcrumbs until fully coated and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crab bombs are golden brown and heated through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add 1 teaspoon of hot sauce to the crab mixture.
- You can also substitute the lump crab meat with shrimp or lobster for a different seafood flavor.
