A delicious and moist Chocolate Espresso Banana Bread that combines the rich flavors of chocolate and espresso with ripe bananas.

- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons instant espresso powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well blended.
- Stir in the beaten egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, and flour. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and instant espresso powder until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a nutty flavor, add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter.
- Substitute the semi-sweet chocolate chips with dark chocolate or white chocolate for a different taste.
