Description
Delicious Cajun Brown Sugar Chicken Wings that are crispy and coated in a sweet and spicy glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper until well coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- While the wings are baking, prepare the glaze by combining brown sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the glaze over the wings and toss until well coated.
- Return the glazed wings to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
- Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Cajun brown sugar chicken wings!
Notes
- For extra crispiness, broil the wings for an additional 2-3 minutes after glazing.
- Try adding different spices to the dry rub, such as cumin or chili powder, for a unique flavor twist.
