Description
Burger Bowls are a fresh and delicious twist on traditional burgers, served in a bowl with a variety of toppings and salad greens.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups mixed salad greens
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup cucumber, diced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup pickles, sliced
- ½ cup burger sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Break it apart with a spatula and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spices are well incorporated.
- In a large bowl, layer the mixed salad greens as the base. Top with the cooked ground beef, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, shredded cheddar cheese, and pickles.
- Drizzle with burger sauce before serving. Toss gently to combine if desired.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving for a chilled option.
Notes
- For a healthier option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
- You can also use Greek yogurt mixed with ketchup and mustard as a lighter burger sauce alternative.
- For added crunch, consider topping with crispy fried onions or croutons.
